The cold-blooded murder of George Floyd, with graphic new details emerging, drives home again how for 400 years this system has enchained, exploited, oppressed, brutalized and murdered Black people every single day of its existence.  A system that now has a fascist at its head.  The police who did this are enforcers FOR that system – a system that exploits and oppresses people here and all over the world in horrific ways.
But all that is not new.

What is new is the way in which people have risen up and fought back hard against this, with tremendous bravery and purpose – in cities across the country, young people of all nationalities refusing to go along with this nightmare.  People have lit up the sky with a very clear message: THIS MUST STOP!  NOW!  More and more people must get involved in this, standing up and fighting back.  Which side are you on?

The fearlessness and determination of the people has struck fear into the hearts of those who rule over the people.  So these rulers brutalize, arrest, shoot at, tear gas, threaten, promise, slander, posture, and lie to try to stuff people back into the bottle.  NO!  We won’t turn back.  We won’t be divided.

The protests of today must be transformed into a movement for an ACTUAL REVOLUTION.  A revolution that does not just reform this system, but overthrows it.  A revolution not for revenge but for the emancipation of all humanity.   A revolution at the soonest possible time.  There is the leadership for this revolution in Bob Avakian, there is a guiding strategy for it, and there is a need and a way for you to be part of this.

In order for this to spread, major funds are needed.  The National Revolution Tour has people on the ground in LA and in Minneapolis.  We are taking this message to people across the country – to all those who catch the worst hell under this system, and those who are sickened by the endless outrages perpetrated by this system.  But for this to reach on the scale necessary, we need to raise tens of thousands of dollars.  People in the streets are stepping forward to fill a great need, but they need leadership.

Be part of making this possible.  Tune in tonight, contribute, reach out to your friends and family.

If you are inspired by people's courage, anger and joy in the streets... but are sick of the solutions that are no solutions and want to see an actual END to the brutality and madness this system rains down on the people of the world – spread the word of this revolution, support this revolution, contribute today and going forward.

Chicago protest
Justice for George Floyd

35th & Michicagan
Tuesday 5/26 5pm

We will be joining Chance the Rapper and Ja'Mal Green at 5PM at CPD headquarters at 35th and Michigan for this protest.

Join us. #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd

A press conference and car rally to protest against racist police murder and brutality at 5pm at Police HQ 54th & Michigan. Demand Justice for George Floyd, brutally murdered by Minneapolis pigs last night. (Video is below.) Also last night outrageous racist “social distancing enforcement” struck in Chicago. A press conference & rally is called for today 5 PM. You can take part by staying in your cars.

Police terror has been put on steroids under Trump/Pence fascist regime. Remember Trump saying “Don’t be too nice” to big cop event in Long Island? Wanna know what “not being too nice” looks like? Watch the videos from Mnps and Chicago last night. Trump’s words and deeds have been both encouraging police to brutalize and racist vigilantees to act. He’s attacking consent decrees aimed at getting some small measure of accountability for police abuse. There’s what Trump did at the International Police Chiefs convention in Chicago last fall – offering more military hardware and making clear he would back up police while attacking blue city police depts. who aren’t lining up sufficiently with anti-immigrant and racist policies. Trump is building up and protecting those in the police and military hwo support him.

Also, Here is video from last night tweeted by Chance the Rapper who said, “Yo I seen HUNDREDS of ppl at millennium park and and pics of even more at the parks on the north side. Outside, no masks, no social distancing, enjoying themselves. Please stop sending large groups of militarized police into our neighborhoods exclusively  I’ve heard a million people have clicked on this video.

Join us for the first online discussion
The 1985 Massacre of members of MOVE, a Black radical activist organization
Read the article.
Watch Facebook Live discussion here.
“American Crime” is a regular feature of revcom.usEach installment focuses on one of the 100 worst crimes committed by the U.S. rulers—out of countless bloody crimes they have carried out against people around the world, from the founding of the U.S. to the present day.
Join us thisTuesday at 7:00 PM EDT for a Facebook Live discussion about the 1985 MOVE Massacre --- when the city of Philadelphia bombed the house of members of MOVE. This was only the second time in U.S. history that the government has dropped a bomb on U.S. soil. They killed 11 people and devastated an entire African-American neighborhood.
You can read about this American Crime here.
Members of MOVE driven out of their home at gunpoint. On May 13, 1985, police killed 11 MOVE members including 5 children, and burned down 61 homes in West Philadelphia.
On Tuesday night, we will be joined by Carl Dix, a revolutionary who is a follower of Bob Avakian. Carl was one of the 100+ individuals who led the "Draw the Line" response to the MOVE bombing.

Bob Avakian has written that three things "have to happen in order for there to be real and lasting change for the better." The first is that "people have to fully confront the actual history of this country and its role in the world up to today, and the terrible consequences of this."

Todd Miller discusses his recent book:
Empire of Borders:
The Expansion of the US Border around the World
Register to watch this event at Eventbrite here.
Or watch it on Facebook.   You don't have to have a Facebook account to watch.
In Empire of Borders, journalist Todd Miller takes the reader with him on a journey. In Syria, Guatemala, Kenya, Palestine, Mexico, the Philippines, and elsewhere, Miller reveals how the United States is outsourcing its border patrol. Through training and aid programs and infiltration of its agents, the U.S. is effectively expanding its borders: to enforce U.S. imperial economic and strategic interests. Miller finds that borders aren't making the world safe but are the front-line in a global war against the poor.
Empire of Borders is available now at the special price of $26 from Revolution Books online store here.

Todd Miller's work has appeared in the New York Times, The Nation, San Francisco Chronicle, Guernica, and Al Jazeera English. He has written two other books: Storming the Wall: Climate Change, Migration, and Homeland Security (City Lights, 2017), and Border Patrol Nation: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Homeland Security (City Lights, 2014).

"...The artificiality of borders, and the commitment of the world's wealthy and powerful to preserve their wealth and power through them, have never been so clearly laid out."

Books on mass incarceration, as well as pandemic crises, are available at Revolution Books new online store revolutionbooks.org.

Check out these books on Mass Incarceration and Police Violence Against the People here.
The U.S., with more than 2 million people locked down in its prisons and immigrant detention camps, leads the world in incarcerating its people. It has more people in prison, and the largest percentage of its population in prison, than any country in the world today-- larger than any country in the history of the world.

More than 60 percent of these more than 2 million people are Black or Latino, and they are being forced to face the deadly coronavirus without consistent access to soap and water, without masks, with no ability to do "social distancing."

This literally means that the sentences that have them locked in this country's dungeons can become death sentences, and in fact have already become death sentences for hundreds of incarcerated people. Many of these people are in prison for crimes as petty as drug use or stealing a bicycle, and many haven't been convicted but just can't pay bail. All of them are human beings now facing mass death if things continue as they are.

Join Revolution Books for a discussion of this urgent situation. Featured in this discussion will be:
CARL DIX Carl is a founding member of the Revolutionary Communist Party and a follower of Bob Avakian. He was one of the Fort Lewis 6: six U.S. soldiers who refused orders to go to Vietnam. He was sent to Leavenworth Military prison for 2 years for taking this stand. When he came out of prison, he joined the revolutionary movement and has been a revolutionary ever since. In 2011, Carl co-founded, with Dr. Cornel West, the Stop Mass Incarceration Network, and in 2016, Carl was a co-initiator of www.refusefascism.org
JAMES "YAYA" HOUGH - James was recently released, after spending 27 years in prison. During those decades, he made hundreds of works of art, mentored other incarcerated artists, and collaborated on large-scale public works with Mural Arts Philadelphia.
ROOSEVELT - Roosevelt is a member of the Chicago Revolution Club. In April, Roosevelt was involved in organizing a "social distancing" protest outside the Cook County Jail in Chicago after word got out that 100's of people in the prison had tested positive for the coronavirus.

  • AmeriKKKa Goddamn!!
  • 50 years since Kent and Jackson State murders,
  • Bob Avakian on the Situation of Black People,
  • and Fascist “Reopen” Rallies
This week marks the 50th anniversary of shootings by the National Guard and police on college campuses that shook the world. At Kent state (in Ohio), four students were shot dead by the National Guard during a protest against the Vietnam War. At Jackson State (in Mississippi) two students were shot dead by Mississippi Highway Patrol, and 10 others were shot and wounded. Watch gripping footage from these historic events from filmmaker David Zeiger, followed by commentary and discussion from Andy Zee and Luan Xocoyote.

With the recent wave of racist terror—police and white racists rampaging and murdering—the ugly truth of America is once again being exposed. How did Black people end up in this situation, and what must be done? We'll share Bob Avakian's response to a question posed to him about the Chicago police’s consent decree during a Q&A in Chicago which followed Bob Avakian's talk, Why We Need An Actual Revolution and How We Can Really Make Revolution. In his response, BA speaks to the choices given to Black people by this system and pulls back the lens on the role of the system in the oppression of Black people and what challenges are before people.

In a new feature of the RNL Show, “Pete on the Street” will take us inside the fascist “Reopen America” rallies and the leap in normalization of armed fascist mobs in recent weeks. We'll zoom in to see what went down in the streets of Los Angeles, including with the brave counter-protests held by RefuseFascism.org and the Revolution Tour. And we'll zoom out to discuss the implications of this for society and the world.
