Nationwide Campaign for Revolution Kicks into Higher Gear. Your ideas, creativity, energy and participation are needed! Come to Revolution Books Friday, June 4, 7 p.m. Disastrous oil spill continues in Gulf of Mexico. Humanitarian activists bringing aid to Gaza murdered by Israeli troops. 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones murdered by Detroit police. Nazi-like anti-immigrant laws passed in Arizona. This is NOT the best of all possible worlds, and things to do not have to be this way. We need a revolution to end this madness, and we ARE BUILDING a revolutionary movement to bring a better world into being. And a crucial step in initiating a new stage of communist revolution is the campaign, The Revolution We Need...The Leadership We Have." This campaign aims to make known to millions the goal and character of THIS revolution, communist revolution, as it has been revitalized and reconceived by Bob Avakian; to make the leader of this revolution a household word; and through all this to forge a core of dedicated fighters who are going to advocate for this revolution and make it a driving dynamic force in society and the world. Important things have been accomplished, seeds planted and lessons learned, but this revolution is not yet on the map. Conferences held this past weekend grappled with the sharp challenges we are confronting, and forged big plans to break through society-wide in the next immediate period. Starting Friday, in the next 10 days our goal is to distribute 250,000 copies of the Statement and Call nationally and 30,000 in key areas of Chicago.
