"The whole point of principle is that you have to fight for it when it is not easy to do. There is no need for principle if the only time it is applied is when it doesn't matter."

This horrible system brings horrors down on the people. And late Wednesday night, at 11:08 p.m. this system executed Troy Davis for the death of a policeman in Savannah, Georgia in 1989. This was nothing but a legal lynching.
In the face of compelling evidence of Troy’s innocence, the governor signed his death warrant. Then at the last minute, after the execution had been delayed for over three hours, the U.S. Supreme Court refused to stop the killing. This is a complete and utter outrage and people have been taking to the streets to protest this enormous crime by the system. Stay tuned to Revolution for coverage and analysis. |
