HOW TO STOP A PIPELINE: THE UNIST'OT'EN CAMP

Lawyer, writer, and grass roots activist Will Falk went to the Unist'ot'en Camp earlier this year to support the pipeline blockade on the territory of the Unist'ot'en Clan of the Wet'suwet'en people. Join us next Thursday evening, Dec. 11, to watch a short video, hear about his experiences there, and join a lively discussion of this important struggle.

How To Stop An Oil And Gas Pipeline: The Unist'ot'en Camp Resistance
The Unist'ot'en Camp sits directly on the paths of 18 proposed fossil fuel pipelines that would carry fracked oil and fracked natural gas from the Fort
McMurray tar sands to the BC coast, where it would be shipped to burn in markets worldwide. These pipelines are one part of tar sands "development," the largest, most destructive project on earth.

Falk will discuss the importance of supporting First Nations' sovereignty, the strategic value of beating the pipelines in so-called British Columbia, and the effectiveness of direct action tactics employed there in stopping fossil fuels.
