Critical Moments
UN-sponsored talks on the climate crisis are starting now in Paris,
under a state of emergency and with more attention paid to protecting
the current order than addressing the devastation to the planet.
Meanwhile, the attack on Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs
on November 27 marked a serious escalation in the war against women
and their right to control their own bodies and future. While students protest white supremacy on their campuses and protesters shut down Michigan Ave. demanding Justice for Laquan McDonald, the shooting of Black Lives Matter demonstrators in Minneapolis last week is another wake up call: it is time to cast away illusions and look squarely at the reality we face.
We invite you to come into Revolution Books to find the books and the analysis of what underlies these attacks and what must - and can - be done now to put an end to all of these outrages once and for all. You will find a wide selection of books on the history of women's oppression and the oppression of Black people in the United States, as well as the potential that exists for a truly liberating revolution that can emancipate all of humanity. We offer the programs described below as opportunities to listen to and discuss the vision and strategy for revolution developed by Bob Avakian over more than four decades. It is no exaggeration to say that if humanity is going to fight its way out of this horrific nightmare and create a world where human beings can rise to their full potential and truly flourish, it will be because of the work and leadership of Bob Avakian. And it will be because people--beginning with YOU--get into this work, get with this leadership, and struggle with others to do the same. |

BA Speaks: Revolution--Nothing Less!
This is a film of a talk given by Bob Avakian that one of the
filmmakers described as "a daring, substantive, scientific summoning to
revolution." If you hate the horrors heaped on oppressed people
everywhere, if you wish revolution were possible but wonder if people
are "too messed up," if you yearn for some kind of fundamental change, THIS is the film for you. Join us to watch and discuss together. The DVD is also available for just $10 at Revolution Books.
