Documentary film showing and discussion
Friday, May 6, 7 pm
Revolution Books
1103 N Ashland

This award-winning documentary premiered just a few months ago at Sundance. It exposes the attacks on women's right to abortion posed by laws in states around the country. "TRAP" laws (targeted regulation of abortion providers) impose outrageous demands on abortion clinic operators. Meet the heroic people who risk their lives so women can access abortion services. Without the right to abortion and birth control services, women can't control when and if they have children and are literally enslaved to their reproduction.

We want to thank UltraViolet and the filmmakers for making this screening possible. Please share this event on Facebook and join us Friday!

Documentary filmmaker José Vieira has given us permission for the U.S. premiere showing of his award-winning documentary. Memories of a Bright Future brings into focus the issue of immigration, which has long marked France's history and recently reached crisis proportions, not only in France but throughout Europe. (Subtitled in English)
