Be part of raising $10,000 in a national fundraising web-a-thon to put revolution on the map. When you tune in on Sunday, June 20th with others all over the country to watch the "Put Revolution on the Map" Webcast, you'll be part of something unique. A national event, that's like watching "revolutionary tv." And a collective fundraiser to raise $10,000 by the end of the web-a-thon to kick "The Revolution We Need...The Leadership We Have" campaign into high gear. On Sunday, at 4 pm ET go to revcom.us to log in to the web-a-thon. A web-a-thon event with Sunsara Taylor, Annie Day and Michael Slate, with live reports from Larry Everest on the Gulf Coast... Carl Dix in Detroit... Raymond Lotta on the oil spill... Alan Goodman on the situation in Gaza, and more. Your contribution on-line today - or during the webcast - will make possible .... One of the most important elements in putting revolution on the map is making Bob Avakian a household word, known very broadly throughout society. We've got big summer plans with the following as a powerful beginning: $2,000 will pay for a major highway billboard advertising Bob Avakian's talk, "Revolution: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It's All About." This is located by the entrance to the US Social Forum in Detroit where thousands will be coming because they want another world brought into being. This electrifying logo will stop people in their tracks, and capture their imagination. This billboard itself will be an important part of the "atmospherics" introducing people to "the real revolution" and its association with Bob Avakian. This billboard will be up in conjunction with city wide screenings of the Revolution talk - at the Social Forum itself, and in the oppressed communities still seething in the aftermath of the police murder of a 7 year old girl, Aiyana Stanley-Jones. This is only the beginning. Upcoming plans this summer include the Revolution talk playing in parks, on project walls and summer festivals, and promotion that creates a stir - think bus ads in Los Angeles, and subway ads in NYC. June 15-30: Join Revolution Books in Detroit
US SOCIAL FORUM
BE THERE! Put Revolution on the Map
On May 12th, the Detroit police murdered 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones. Then they treated her family like criminals, arresting her grandmother and testing her for drugs and gun powder residue and making her father lay on the floor in the very room his little girl had just been blown away in, his face in her still warm blood. AND from June 22-26 thousands of people from all over the country, and beyond, are coming to Detroit for the US Social Forum. They will be putting their heads together and debating about how to make a different and better world. The Revolutionary Communist Party has put out a call for volunteers to go to Detroit and put revolution on the map in the midst of this hot mix. (You Tube Video of Call Here) Get there June 15th and stay for the whole time. Be there for the United States Social Forum June 22-26, and bring the outrage of the masses in Detroit at this murder into this important gathering of radical activists. And bring the desire of these activists for a better world out among the masses in Detroit. Get there for any part of this time that you can. But get there. ***** People who want to volunteer to go to Detroit or make a financial contribution to this effort should get in contact with us right away.
