TUNE IN... DONATE... MOBILIZE YOUR FRIENDS...

Sunday, June 20, 4Donate to 10 pm Eastern time

In just the last month we have witnessed an environmental catastrophe in the Gulf, the Israeli massacre of unarmed activists challenging the Gaza blockade, fascist anti-immigrant laws passed in Arizona, and the police murder of an innocent 7-year-old Black girl, Aiyana Stanley-Jones.

This has truly been a month of horrible crimes against the people. And this shows that the criminals now running things have no right to rule.

Now, it's time for the people to deliver a powerful answer to these crimes.

Help put revolution on the map by tuning in, donating, and picking up the phone and calling your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to do the same. Our goal is to raise $10,000 that will go towards putting "The Revolution We Need... The Leadership We Have" campaign into high gear. [Instructions for tuning will be available on revcom.us later this week.]

Right now on the ground in New Orleans we are building a movement for revolution

and you can be a part of contributing to Revolution Newspaper's coverage that is bringing you the real truth about the causes and solutions to this crisis and giving a voice to people on a mission to galvanize a force that can bring all of those holding their collective breath to now mobilize PEOPLE to stop this catastrophe and protect the environment.

Watch Raymond Lotta online speaking from Revolution Books on the full scope of this crisis: why the normal workings of capitalist production produced the BP oil spill, why the monumental nature of this disaster and the environmental crisis threatening the planet cannot be solved by anything Bird Oilyshort of revolution, and the principles a communist revolution would apply to creating a sustainable economy and set about repairing the damage to planet earth. Then, send this link to your friends and let them know about the national web-a-thon on June 20.

On June 20 watch the webcast with live coverage
from Larry Everest from the Gulf Coast and donate generously for reporting and for Larry's work organizing the Gulf Emergency Summit in New
Orleans, Saturday, June 19.

Aiyanna Protest - Detroit.jpgWhen 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones was cut down by police bullets as she slept with her grandmother in her front room, Carl Dix traveled immediately to stand with Aiyana's family and the people of Detroit's devastated neighborhoods. While the mayor and the Media managed the Orwellian feat of turning the blame on the family and the people, Carl was there to take this on - to show the whole damn system's hand in this murder and how we could run society a WHOLE different way.

Picture really putting revolution ON THE MAP in Detroit,

leading into and at the US Social Forum at the end of June. Picture everyone driving to the US Social Forum passing by a huge billboard advertising Bob Avakian's Revolution Talk, Revolution: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It's All About and imagine what it will mean to bring "The Revolution We Need... The Leadership We Have" out to both the oppressed people of Detroit who are seething over brutality and injustice and the activists coming to the Social Forum to wrangle with making a different and better world-bringing these forces together. This webcast will have live coverage from Carl Dix in Detroit, and your donation is needed to make this happen.

ampaign - Clothesline w/ BraodsheetsThis campaign has just completed an effort to put 200,000 statements into the hands of people in ten days, going for undeniable effect in concentrated spots around the country! Now as we send reporters and volunteers to Detroit, New Orleans & Arizona, the next step to really have societal impact requires substantial funds, for printed materials, for advertising, & for reportage.

This webcast is going to be great, like having a revolutionary TV station, with hosts Sunsara and Annie bringing a picture of what this campaign is all about, with highlights of the first six months and live coverage from Detroit, New Orleans, from Alan Goodman and others. Over the next week we will be sending you updates on programming and the urgent needs to be filled.

An Evening with
Cindy Sheehan- Bill Ayers - Sunsara Taylor

What does it say about a society when it is deemed "too dangerous" for people to hear, discuss and debate ideas such as moral commitment, ethical action, morality without Gods, and stopping War Party Politics? Cindy Sheehan, Bill Ayers and Sunsara Taylor have recently faced cancelation of their talks on these topics. Yet, instead of silently acquiescing to the chilling ice sheet moving over this country, trying to freeze out radical and progressive voices and alternatives to the deadly status quo, they refused to accept cancelation. Bill and Cindy succeeded in reversing their 'disinvitations.' Sunsara was met by police when she objected. Come hear why they didn't just shut up and go away, why it matters for all of us, and what people of conscience can do to stand up and oppose the suppression of discussing these ideas.

This event is organized by the Committee for Reason, an ad hoc group formed to respond to the violent and unjustified arrest of Gregory Koger, a videographer who was filming Sunsara Taylor, a nationally known speaker, making an informal announcement at the Ethical Humanist Society of Chicago just prior to a lecture event from which she had been suddenly disinvited. Gregory now faces trial on June 29. For more information on this case and what you can do to support him, please visit www.dropthecharges.net and write us at adhoc4reason@gmail.com.

Presentations will be followed by Q&A.

DetroitDetroit June 15-30 BE THERE!
Put Revolution on the Map

Aiyanna Protest - Detroit.jpg
On May 12th, the Detroit police murdered 7-year-old Aiyana Stanley-Jones. Then they treated her family like criminals, arresting her grandmother and testing her for drugs and gun powder residue and making her father lay on the floor in the very room his little girl had just been blown away in, his face in her still warm blood.
AND from June 22-26 thousands of people from all over the country, and beyond, are coming to Detroit for the US Social Forum. They will be putting their heads together and debating about how to make a different and better world.
The Revolutionary Communist Party has put out a call for volunteers
to go to Detroit and put revolution on the map in the midst of this hot mix. (You Tube Video of Call Here)
Get there June 15th and stay for the whole time. Be there for the United States Social Forum June 22-26, and bring the outrage of the masses in Detroit at this murder into this important gathering of radical activists. And bring the desire of these activists for a better world out among the masses in Detroit. Get there for any part of this time that you can. But get there.

Step up Revolutionary Work in Chicago
Some of those who have volunteered to go to Detroit currently play an important roles in Chicago: As volunteers at Revolution Books they make it possible to keep the doors of the bookstore open. As distributors of Revolution newspaper, they connect people from neighborhoods of the oppressed and people from college campuses with the movement for revolution. And this is only part of the contributions these volunteers are making.
We are calling of people - if you aren't volunteering to go to Detroit - step up to fill the shoes of those who are going.
