Chicago Memorial Day picnic
A supporter of Revolution Books designed and built a mobile display case. It was part of way to showcase the BAsics Bus Tour and other important works of Bob Avakian. The Memorial Day picnic was a perfect time to bring it out on the street and see what people’s response was to it.  People dug it, and it kind of broke away from the standard book table. The setup had been done the night before, we just opened it up and we had all the key works of the BAsics Bus Tour and enlarged photos of high school students signing a banner they sent to Atlanta. We had take-home organizer bags wrapped with the centerfold of “What people are saying” and designed for people to take out pluggers of BAsics 1:13,  copies of the “Twelve Ways That YOU Can Be Part of Building the Movement for Revolution – Right Now”, Revolution newspapers and  the sampler DVD of the Revolution talk, enabling many more people to become a part of spreading the Bus Tour campaign and the quotes of Bob Avakian.

"No more generations of our youth, here and all around the world, whose life is over, whose fate has been sealed, who have been condemned to an early death or a life of misery and brutality, whom the system has destined for oppression and oblivion even before they are born. I say no more of that." BAsics 1:3  Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA

Revolution #270, May 27, 2012
Building on the Momentum of the BAsics Bus Tour

By the end of May, the BAsics Bus Tour will have made its way deep into the South... making BA and his leadership known to many thousands. Hundreds will have signed the BAsics 1:13 banners, sending messages, especially to the people of Sanford, Florida, where Trayvon Martin was murdered. Thousands of dollars still need to be raised to support the BAsics Bus Tour and, as we do this, let's prepare to get out this same message all over the country in the following weeks, building on the momentum of this bus tour and raising money and laying the basis for the next leg of the tour. And as we do this, let's draw people into getting into BAsics, from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian and connect them to the whole movement to make this known everywhere. (read more)

Or pull together a group of friends and  family. Tell them about the tour - ask them to find creative ways to donate and hold fund raising events and to send group messages of support to the Bus volunteers that can be shared with people in the South. Turn them on to all the ways they can be part of building this historic BAsics Bus Tour wherever you are!

NATO War Criminals Summit
in Chicago May 20-21
 NATO Rev cover

Two futures are posed, two radically different worlds. One future, a horror of oppression for the people of the world and a threat to the very life of Earth, enforced by the massive military might of the capitalist/imperialists will be on display at the NATO summit Sunday and Monday
 May 20-21.

The other is a liberating future, where there is no more oppression, no more countries, no more domination of any group by any other group, a society where people look out for the common good of all people and the life and ecosystems on the planet itself. But that requires a revolution.   Because of the work Bob Avakian is doing, we have a vision and a strategy for revolution.

People in the U.S. and around the world need to know that and know right now that the BA Everywhere campaign is fighting to bring this to people and to organize them into this movement for revolution here in the belly of the of the beast.

BAsics Bus Tour: Next Stop-Atlanta and Beyond

from REVOLUTION newspaper #268
The BAsics Bus Tour:
Next Stop-Atlanta and Beyond

The BAsics Bus Tour is getting ready to hit the road in the South. Next week volunteers from Los Angeles to New York will stream into Atlanta. They will be traveling there on the money donated for this tour all across the country. Some will be taking greetings that were created and signed in the communities they’re coming in from. They’ll be representing something much bigger than themselves. As one volunteer put it: “This is a great opportunity to expand and widen the movement for revolution, as well as to let many more people know about BA and the revolution...the fact that this vision was brought to them and that they know that there are people who really WANT TO DEDICATE THEIR LIVES to change the world, that already makes a difference in the political atmosphere of the country.” (read more)
