The Governor of Missouri has declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard, even before a grand jury decision on the indictment of Darren Wilson, the cop who murdered unarmed Black youth Michael Brown over 100 days ago (CNN story here). Who is preparing for violence?! The real state of emergency in Ferguson, in Chicago, and throughout this country is the wanton murder of Black and Brown people by the police, with impunity, and the military-style suppression of communities taking to the streets to demand justice. Yes, #AllLivesMatter and we will not stop until this slaughter stops. It is completely illegitimate to deploy the National Guard or any other type of repressive police force against protesters!

We urge you to take up the call of the Stop Mass Incarceration Network Chicago to meet at
5 PM at
State St. & Jackson, Chicago

(Jackson stop on Blue and Red lines)
Facebook event page
on the day the grand jury decision is announced if that is a weekday and to gather there as soon as possible if the announcement comes on a Saturday or Sunday. What you do matters, bring signs and whistles and friends! Please share this link widely.

Killer cops walking free or getting a slap on the wrist is unacceptable, in Ferguson, Chicago or anywhere.
We will march, we will say NO MORE! Bring everyone who is outraged.
