Call to arrange. 773-489-0930 Friday, April 1st, thousands of people will rally throughout the city and gather at 4pm at Thompson center downtown for a march. The day of action was called by the Chicago teacher's union to protest the continuing attacks on teachers, the schools etc. There has not been a budget in IL for over 10 months. Teachers and students will be joined by many others who are feeling the brunt of these draconian cuts ... IL state colleges, social service agencies, recipients of MAP grants etc. On April 1st, we are going into the midst of this outpouring to take out Bob Avakian and the new synthesis of Communism and we invite you to join us in this undertaking. read more

We're coming together to make plans to accelerate the movement to let people throughout society know aboutBob Avakian's leadership and his new synthesis of communism, the scientific approach to revolution the world so desperately needs--and to raise the funds to do this! Promoting the work of Bob Avakian is at the core of the mission of Revolution Books , and we urge all of you who support Revolution Books to be part of the BA Everywhere campaign. Bring your ideas and energy to this meeting of the BA Everywhere committee.   Where: Revolution Books, 1103 N. Ashland (free parking on Sundays) When: Sunday, April 3, 5:00 pm What: Join us to make big plans for the weekend of April 22 through 24, for a series of house parties and film showings to raise funds and engage with BA.   As the talk at the dinner last Saturday laid out, "If you care about the horrific state of the world, if you yearn for humanity to be free, you are in the right place." You can begin now to pull together house parties and film showings on the weekend of April 22 through 24. Get inspired by watching a BA film clip yourself and start inviting friends and family or people you work with for a gathering that weekend. At the dinner, people were moved by this video clip, introducing Bob Avakian "through the years": And thanks to everyone who attended the BAE dinner--and to all the restaurants that donated delicious food and the artists and businesses that donated items to the raffle. All funds raised at the dinner were contributed to The Bob Avakian Institute for its projects, including for the promotion of BA's soon-to-be-published book The Science, the Strategy, the Leadership for an Actual Revolution, and a Radically New Society on the Road to Real Emancipation

The campaign aims to raise big funds to make the new synthesis of communism that Bob Avakian (BA) has brought forward, and the leadership he provides, a major question in society: a point of reference and, for increasing numbers, a living framework for how to understand, and transform, the world. This new synthesis, and this leadership, is concentrated in the new work, The Science, the Strategy, the Leadership for an Actual Revolution, and a Radically New Society on the Road to Real Emancipation by Bob Avakian. One main focus of these dinners will be this work, now available online but soon to be published as a book. This work crystallizes in many ways what is said in the recent resolutions from the RCP's Central Committee--that:  As a leader, Bob Avakian embodies a rare combination: someone who has been able to develop scientific theory on a world-class level, while at the same time having a deep understanding of and visceral connection with the most oppressed, and a highly developed ability to "break down" complex theory and make it accessible to the masses of people.
