The Revolution Club stirred many new people into political life, with the Message from the RCP Central Committee which plants a pole of a radically different future and digs beneath the surface of things to get to the common source of many, seemingly disconnected, outrages of this system. They fought for the understanding that Trump vs Clinton is nothing but criminal choices of a criminal system. They called out to people: We Need to Overthrow, Not Vote For, This System! They connected people with the works and leadership of BA [Bob Avakian], engaging them with clips from his talk, "Revolution: Nothing Less!" and with "BAsics, from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian." They distributed Revolution newspaper, enabling people to really understand and act to change the world...giving a living picture and scientific analysis of what is going on in the world and why. Club members were strong, determined, and defiant in the face of massive police mobilization, arrests, and brutality at the hands of the pigs, and Nazi and Christian fundamentalist fanatics. They went into the neighborhoods of the oppressed, led people into the streets, and boldly delivered the message: "America was NEVER great--we need to OVERTHROW this system!"  Both at the RNC and at the DNC Joey Johnson and Carl Dix, supported by other Revolution Club members, burnt the American flag to make a powerful statement that America was NEVER great and to expose that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are both "Criminal choices of a criminal system that must be overthrown." At the RNC, Joey and 15 others were illegitimately arrested and have serious charges from the action of burning the flag.
