Three of the contributors- Maria Gamboa, Victoria Perez and Magda Ramirez-Casteneda- share their fascinating personal accounts from CHICANAS OF 18th STREET: Narratives of a Movement from Latino Chicago, bringing to light the untold story of Chicano Chicago at the height of the powerful and unique movement of resistance that grew out of the Pilsen neighborhood of the city from 1970's to today.
Come celebrate the remarkable lives, struggles and cultural work of the six women recounted in the new book by Leonard G. Ramirez who will also appear, with Hector Gamboa.
