Reminder--Wed. April 27, 7:00 pm, Climatologist David Archer on "Global Climate Change: A Scientific Overview of the Pickle We Are In"
Come to Revolution Books this Wednesday to engage with one of the leading scientists on global warming. David Archer of University of Chicago will join us to explain the prediction that a dangerous rise of sea water, 1 meter or more, will occur within 50 to 100 years. This human-driven, planet-wide thaw will flood coastal areas across the globe and unleash superstorms--in the lifetime of children who are born today. Prof. Archer's book The Long Thaw and other important titles on global climate change will be on sale.
Reminder--Saturday, April 30, noon-1 pm Revolution Book Club
Fire on the Mountain, by Terry Bisson. What might life be like today if John Brown's 1859 raid on Harper's Ferry, aimed at ending slavery, had been successful. Come for a lively discussion of this provocative speculative novel.
