Bruce Neuburger,
author of the new book Lettuce Wars, will discuss both the history of
the powerful movement that surged out of the fields beginning in 1965,
what became of that movement, and the situation of California
farmworkers today as well as the prospects for the future. Think about
where your food comes from and how it is produced, who does it and under
what conditions and what it might look like under different conditions
or in a different society. Bring your thoughts. Presentation will be
followed by Q&A.
